Do you ever feel like your mind has a mind of its own? One minute you might feel okay, and the next you are overwhelmed with anxiety, doubt or stress? My name is Cat Williams and I’m known as The Stallion Mind Therapist. Just like a powerful stallion, your mind can be wild, reactive and difficult to control… or it can become one of your greatest assets when you learn how to understand and heal it, and to harness its beautiful power, natural confidence and potential. Many of the people I work with are outwardly capable, caring and functioning, yet internally they feel trapped by anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, imposter syndrome or a constant fear of not being “good enough”. Often they have spent years trying different therapies or medications, or have tried to think their way out of patterns that actually live much deeper within the subconscious mind and nervous system. My unique BREAK Free Framework approach combines clinical hypnotherapy, strengths psychology coaching, CBT, trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic expertise from more than 25 years of experience helping clients to break free from subconscious internal patterns or fears. I am a Transformational Clinical Hypnotherapist, professional and TEDx speaker specialising in confidence, mind-set and mental health; and I am the author of The Stallion Mind and the Stallion Mind BREAK Free Framework. My sessions are supportive, down-to-earth and tailored to the individual. I integrate hypnotherapy, subconscious reprogramming, therapeutic coaching, nervous system awareness and practical tools to help clients understand both why they feel stuck and how to move forward. Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I trained and worked as a Physiotherapist and Relationship Counsellor, which gave me a strong understanding of the connection between emotional wellbeing, relationships, stress, behaviour and the body itself. I have now run my own private therapy practice for over 11 years, helping people create lasting emotional and behavioural change rather than simply learning to “cope”. My work is also shaped by my own personal journey. Having grown up around unhealthy relational patterns, I understand first-hand how low self-esteem, anxiety, perfectionism and self-sabotage can quietly shape someone’s life from beneath the surface. This experience allows me to work with clients not from judgement, but from deep compassion, insight and understanding. As the author of The Stallion Mind and Stay Calm and Content No Matter What Life Throws At You, I am passionate about helping people see that many emotional struggles are not signs that they are failing, but signs that their mind has adapted to past experiences, pressures and beliefs. I often explain that we all have an “inner stallion” – the emotional, instinctive part of the mind designed to protect us. Sometimes that stallion becomes anxious, defensive, perfectionistic, avoidant or reactive because it believes it is keeping us safe. Therapy is not about “fighting” the mind. It is about understanding it, calming it and retraining it with compassion and confidence. Alongside my clinical work, I am also a TEDx speaker and professional public speaker, delivering talks on confidence, emotional wellbeing and subconscious transformation. My mission is to help people stop seeing themselves as broken and start recognising the strength, resilience and potential that may have been buried beneath years of fear, conditioning or self-doubt. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when people understand their mind differently, they begin to experience themselves differently too.
